Last minute vacation – how and where to go?
If you have never booked last minute travel, then it is certainly about time. Such trips always have a big element of surprise. Decide quickly and act even faster.
There is always a certain attraction. Make sure, however, that you don’t forget anything. After all, you don’t want to get a headache at your holiday destination. Be sure to review the following advice:
Cheap does not necessarily have to be good!
Always be aware that travel providers are not always interested in the well-being of their guests. Sometimes they just focus on sales figures. Unfortunately, you as a customer only come second. Take enough time to look through a particular offer and only decide when you are 100% sure. Don’t book a trip just because someone says it’s advantageous and a bargain. Never leave your decision to the travel agent and never say: “I don’t care” or “If you think…” Which brings us to the next point:
Ask for all the details and show interest in all the little things!
Before you go to the travel agency, you as a customer must have a clear idea of what you actually want. If you have no orientation or show too little interest, they can quickly try to sell you certain offers. After a lot of persuasion, it usually works.
Travel does not always sell because of its actual attractiveness. Sometimes a good presentation and many promises from the tour operator are enough. So don’t let yourself be swayed or talked about so easily. Bring concrete ideas with you, suggest holiday destinations, explain your exact ideas to the travel agency and then let a specialist advise you in detail.
The hotel is very important!
Keep your eyes wide open when booking your vacation hotel. If you’re thinking of a beach holiday where you’ll be more on the beach than in the hotel, you still need to give the hotel a good look. It happens all too often that customers do not find what they previously paid for. Hotels in certain countries like Greece or Croatia are sometimes too crowded and too noisy.
Don’t expect too much when booking an average hotel or even a private room. If you choose private accommodation for vacation, you can expect almost everything. From dirty beds to unfriendly staff to pathogens around every corner. This does not have to be the case, of course, but it is quite possible.
