This indicates how well the housing of the lamp is protected against environmental influences such as moisture. An appropriate protection class is particularly important for use in outdoor areas where the lights are exposed to constantly changing weather conditions. Models that are certified with IP65 offer sufficient protection against powerful jets of water from any angle and are also completely dustproof.
